Pomp & Co. was originally developed by Sammy Donelly, one of Dublin’s best barbers, who was dissatisfied with the quality of hair products on the market.

After a lengthy process of perfecting the right formula and scent, the products were finally launched in 1947. He created the fragrance formula for the pomades by blending his personal favorite colognes—and it is still this stunning, masculine scent that is used in the Pomp & Co. line.

In recent years, the products have been refined by Sammy’s grandsons, James and Sam, who represent the third generation of barbers in Dublin. Through hard work, they have completed what Sammy began, and today they carry on the family’s history and legacy. Passion and dedication continue to drive the company, and Pomp & Co. has succeeded in preserving the character and spirit of the brand from its early days.

The result is hair products that not only keep your hair looking great in all kinds of weather but also smell and feel great. Since 1947, more products have naturally been added, and the lineup now includes hair styling products, beard care products, shaving products, and products for the body and face.
